Clermont’s newest guest inn offers
local residents elegant yet reasonable accommodations for their out-of-town
guests. The Old Bicycle Inn allows area residents to accommodate guests
and family nearby without the commitment of being round-the-clock hosts.
"Our guests can be near friends and family without imposing
on them. And, because we’re only 30 minutes from Disney World,
they can take in a day at the parks, then come back to visit, and relax
and recharge away from the action,” explains innkeeper Renee
Banzhaf. “We’re developing The Old Bicycle Inn as an upscale
yet affordable escape for our guests.” The Banzhaf’s are
in the process of converting the private residence into a full bed
and breakfast. When complete, “TOBI” will offer five guest
suites, all with private baths; plus a spacious living room with fireplace,
airy sun porch / reading room, and a large dining room. A separate
two-bedroom Florida-style suite, complete with sitting room, large
bath and kitchenette is available for rental immediately. All guests
have access to the quiet gardens and screened patio in which to relax
and visit.
“If a guest simply wants to sit and relax in the inn or the
gardens, they can do that,” says Banzhaf. “But if they’re
looking for more activity, we’re only a block away from the beach,
where they can go for a stroll or picnic. Clermont’s parks, playgrounds,
shops and several restaurants and cafes - for a light meal or an elegant
dinner – are within easy walking distance.”
